Happy Labor Day Weekend! Way back when I was just a school girl, we were thinking about the first day of school Labor Day weekend--now school begins in August, and the crisp days of September are actually a little hot and melty. But Labor Day still feels like the beginning of something new. For Book Blog Hoppers, welcome and thanks for stopping by.
This week's question is: do you judge a book by its cover.
Of course I judge a book by its cover. Good cover art seduces the reader. Book designers are telling the reader what kind of book they will find between the covers--they tell us with the size and shape of the book, the colors, texture, design, cover art and blurbs. And sometimes they lie. But I will definitely be tempted to pick up a book based on the cover design, and I say this without shame!
Blog hoppers, leave a comment and I will return your visit.
Hi! Just stopping by to say hello! A good book cover is one of my weaknesses. :-) Have a great weekend!
I too sometimes fall for covers!
Came here via blog hopping/Follow me. Have a blast hopping to/following new blogs! Do check out my blog, everything distils into reading. I am an eclectic reader! I follow blogs I like via my google reader!
A follower stopping by on the hop. Have a great weekend!
I hate to admit it, but I'm such a book cover person. If the artwork on the front looks cheesy, I just won't pick it up!
Hey! Thanks for stopping by! I am enjoying my weekend and reading your blog! I am your newest follower. I really enjoy the blog hop! So many blogs so little time.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Yay for no shame! lol
I just love your header...typing instructor that I am. :)
I do pick up a book because of its cover...not necessarily buy it, but it does make me pick it up and check it out.
Stop by my blog if you like:
It's Tuesday and I'm still enjoying the holidays ;P
I'm with you on this one! A very bad cover will make me just want to skip a book; however, an extremely good cover will at least make me pick it up and read the synopsis!
Thanks for stopping by! Sorry I'm so late getting over here! New follower, too!
