Book Blogger Hop October 29-November 1

Welcome Book Blog Hoppers!  I hope you are in costume!  I hope I will have some vigor in my hop this weekend.  October seems to have been a curiously enervating month for many.  Even Crazy Jennifer over at Crazy for Books is taking a mini-break, although she's still kind enough to sponsor the hop. This week's question is:  What bookish thing would you have, no matter the cost?  The bookish thing I would love to have is a home library with floor to ceiling bookshelves, cushy chairs and a couch, a reading table, lovely window seats, and plush carpets.  Somewhere I have a file of photographs of lovely libraries I covet. This library is entirely real to me, and I can easily summon up a detailed picture in my mind.

If you have stopped by on the hop, I hope you'll take a moment to read a few of my recent reviews:  I reviewed Hummingbirds by Joshua Gaylord this week, and yesterday I posted a review of Isaac Babel's short stories for my regular feature, The Story on Thursdays.  Leave me a comment and I will return the visit.  Have a great weekend, hoppers!

Following my mechanized bunny... He seemed to be wound up at full blast.

I do not have a post set up this week for hopping but I did just finish a new review :)

Hopping by-we have the same dream! I too covet a huge library in the style of the 19th century where I can curl up and lose myself in a good book. btw, love the name of your blog. It reminds me of Sach's book Musicophilia. If you haven't read it, it is very very good.

I'm visiting from the hop. I love the look of floor to ceiling bookshelves.

I also reviewed Hummingbird's this week. I'm heading to your review next.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Up until a few year ago, my wish would have been the same, but when I married my husband I inherited his libary, which is cozy and piled floor-to-ceiling with books every which way...

I suppose if I could wish for anything bookish, it would be that readers would patronize their local independent bookstores rather than buying from Amazon. (Or use their local library if funds are too short to buy books!)

You mentioned you of photos of lovely home libraries. Are they the kind of photos that you could post? I'd love to see them!
