Happy Labor Day Weekend! Way back when I was just a school girl, we were thinking about the first day of school Labor Day weekend--now school begins in August, and the crisp days of September are actually a little hot and melty. But Labor Day still feels like the beginning of something new. For Book Blog Hoppers, welcome and thanks for stopping by.
This week's question is: do you judge a book by its cover.
Of course I judge a book by its cover. Good cover art seduces the reader. Book designers are telling the reader what kind of book they will find between the covers--they tell us with the size and shape of the book, the colors, texture, design, cover art and blurbs. And sometimes they lie. But I will definitely be tempted to pick up a book based on the cover design, and I say this without shame!

I hate to admit it, but I'm such a book cover person. If the artwork on the front looks cheesy, I just won't pick it up!

I'm with you on this one! A very bad cover will make me just want to skip a book; however, an extremely good cover will at least make me pick it up and read the synopsis!
