The Blogiesta Begins

The Blogiesta is an event sponsored by MawBooks.  The inimitable and indomitable Sheila at One Person's Journey through a world of books posted about the Blogiesta recently, so I decided to sign up.  The first thing I had to do was to hop over to MawBooks and sign up on her McLinky.  Next I will be reading posts from the other participants (I signed up for the RSS feed, and I'm reading posts in another tab).  Then I will be putting up another post with the challenges I'm setting for myself during the Blogiesta.  I've been writing Bibliophiliac for a little more than five months, and I plan to learn many techniques to improve my blog while participating in the Blogiesta.  I'll also be participating in the Book Blogger Hop hosted by Jennifer at Crazy for Books, so this should be an interesting weekend.

For my next post you will see the Blogiesta starting line logo, and my list of challenges.  Today was my last day of school (wow!) and I finished cleaning out and cleaning up my classroom (actually, my husband helped). Then I went to a department get-together at a colleague's house, then came home and crashed.  That happened three times this week--I guess that is the accumulated fatigue of an entire school year!  So my next post may be later tonight or early tomorrow, and either way I look forward to coming up with some interesting challenges for myself.

Have fun this weekend. This is my first Bloggiesta and I'm having a blast visiting the different blog.
