So far it is going well. They are reading every class.bibliophiliachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15495943887513443615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-236334828969414641.post-4779696095053689472014-09-17T19:44:20.639-07:002014-09-17T19:44:20.639-07:00I KNEW you moved classrooms! I didn't get a chance to do much of that in my internship (unfortunately, too much district and school structure).Ashley Moorenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-236334828969414641.post-12689221239011217472014-09-01T09:59:26.154-07:002014-09-01T09:59:26.154-07:00@Shannon- Fingers crossed for my independent readi...@Shannon- Fingers crossed for my independent reading plan! I have the feeling that many students will love the books that they've been traditionally forced to read in high school if only allowed to read them in their own time. And that reading can't be forced. My daughter has disliked reading her entire life - you can imagine how much this saddened me. Gradually a few years ago, I came to realize that she far preferred nonfiction to fiction. Huzzah! She still isn't a "reader" but she enjoys a stack of memoirs on her nightstand.
